A car dealership sells new cars and/or used cars, based on a dealership contract with a manufacturer or its sales subsidiary. It employs salespeople to do the selling and may also provide maintenance services for cars, thus employing mechanics, stock and sell spare automobile parts, and process warranty claims as part of their aftersales department.
