Who are we?
Npower is one of the largest companies specialising in electricity generation. Npower have seven power stations located across the UK. They are looking for motivated individuals to join their Apprenticeship Programme which is offering applications for 2008 from January to March.
What's on offer?
A 4 year Advanced Apprenticeships in Mechanical, Electrical and Control and Instrumentation engineering at one of the many sites around the UK.
The scheme includes on the job training combined with excellent training at their Rotherham and Ferrybridge training centres. (All travel and accommodation expenses to these locations are paid for by Npower).
Apprentice framework consists of NVQ2, 5 Key Skills, BTEC National Certificate, NVQ Level 3 and if appropriate BTEC HNC all combined with a starting salary of around £7500.
On completion there are job opportunities in all trades with earnings of between £18,000 - £24,000 p.a. There is also the opportunity for progression to the graduate scheme if appropriate.
You need to have a minimum of 5 GCSE level C or above including Maths, English and Science.
