npower is one of the largest companies specialising in electricity generation and have seven power stations located across the UK.
What's on offer?
For people who prefer to earn while they are learning, RWE npower, offers Advanced Modern Apprenticeships in the following trades:
• Mechanical
• Electrical
• Control and Instrumentation
Talented individuals with 5 GCSEs (at least grade C including Mathematics, English and Science and preferably a technical/design/practical subject) or an equivalent, will be considered for the four-year training scheme.
On successful completion of the programme apprentices will be competent and working towards Technician level in their chosen field. They will have achieved:
• BTEC National Certificate in Operations and Maintenance Engineering
• Key Skills level 2
• Technology Maintenance NVQ Level 3
• BTEC Higher National Certificate in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering if appropriate.
Once trained and qualified apprentices can look forward to a challenging and rewarding future within the Power Generation Industry.
npower also have a graduate scheme lasting 2 years which covers technical, managerial and practical training and can lead to Chartered Engineer status.
