Who are we?
Transport for London is responsible for operating the full range of public transport systems for the capital. Transport for London has a new Apprenticeship Scheme for 2007. This is a programme for young people who are excited by the prospect of working for one of the busiest, most challenging companies in the country.
Their apprentices have the rare opportunity of seeing the other side of London Underground, the side that their customers don't get to see. It's a world where 12,000 men and women, from all walks of life, work together to deliver a safe, efficient, reliable transport network that's fit for 21st century life.
What's on offer?
They offer a two year Operational Apprenticeship scheme with placements in Train, Station and Signal operations.
The starting salary is £11,500 with job opportunities, on qualification, as Station Supervisor, Train Operators or Service Operators with salaries between £28,000 - £30,000 with progression to Duty Manager.
